Welcome to Country Rain Rabbitry, located in York County, PA. I raise quality Netherland Dwarfs and Holland Lops. *Update* I have decided to raise Netherland Dwarfs and Holland Lops exclusively- therefore I am selling my two amazing Lionheads that I have left:
RBB's Diamond: $65 RBB's Margarita: $75 Variety: Sable Point. Sex: Buck. DOB: 11/21/07 Variety: Tort. Sex: Doe. DOB: 11/11/07 Comments: Very nice, tiny buck. Very nice wins in background. Comments: Brilliant doe! Had a Judge tell me she has one of the very best Lionheads he has seen! (even wanted to buy her at the time). Not the best picture of her- my mom doesn't know how to pose bunnies lol. Also has some impressive wins in background.
I am working on focusing mainly on BEW (Blue Eyed White) and Chocolate Netherland Dwarfs, and Tort and Blue Tort Holland Lops. I put special time aside for each of my rabbits, including their litters to have them be very loving toward people, and my hard work definitely pays off. I have all of my rabbits on a show quality diet and keep them in their top condition; by keeping them healthy and making sure they have time out of their cage and get some exercise, I would hope they are almost always happy and satisfied. That is also the plus side to having a smaller rabbitry, I have plenty time to give each of the rabbits the attention they need, and then some. Raising excellent show and companion rabbits is my favorite hobby! If you ever have any questions about my rabbits or rabbits in general, send me an e-mail. I'll do my best to answer them and help you out! Country Rain Rabbitry's Method for Raising Excellent Rabbits 1) Friendly and Sweet Tempered: To me, the most important quality. I raise many litters in my home for the first four- five weeks of their life, so they have full interaction time with humans. When they are returned to the rabbitry, I still put aside special time for them. All my rabbits are handled multiple times a day, litters especially, so they learn to grow up with human contact. 2) Show Quality: I try to get all of my rabbits from reputable breeders and will save up most of my money to buy the best show stock I can afford. I will usually ask my friends, who have been showing great rabbits longer than I have, for their opinion before buying a new show rabbit. I breed my rabbits with the Standard of Perfection in mind and always to be the best quality I can get them to be. Back to number 1, I feel that if the rabbit is not friendly or easy to handle, it is not worth my investment. I need my rabbits to have good temperaments so I can expect the same from their offspring- besides no one wants to buy a bunny they can't cuddle with =) 3) Quality Care: I clean cages 2-3 times a week. I provide all my rabbits with enrichment toys and allow them time outside their cage for some good fun and exercise. I feed Manna Pro show pellets to them in the evening and give them a timothy/grass hay mixture in the morning. I also provide fresh water every day and have a treat day for my rabbits on Fridays (their favorite day of the week!).
